Gas Technician
Job Title: Gas Technician

Job Description

As a Gas Technician, you will work on projects related to landfill gas collection and control systems. You will monitor and maintain gas extraction systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and prevent the release of harmful gases into the atmosphere.

ResponsibilitiesIdentify and locate gas leaks in pipelines and systems to ensure safety and system integrity.Maintain and repair gas pipelines to prevent leaks and ensure efficient operation.Conduct pressure tests on gas systems to check for leaks and ensure proper functioning.Use gas analyzers to measure and monitor gas concentrations.Repair and maintain gas valves to ensure they operate correctly.Work with SCADA systems for monitoring and controlling gas systems.Perform HVAC maintenance, particularly involving gas furnaces, boilers, and water heaters.Ensure safety compliance by adhering to safety regulations and protocols.Collect and enter environmental data into the system.Essential SkillsProficiency in identifying and locating gas leaks.Knowledge of HVAC systems, especially those involving gas.Experience in pipeline maintenance and repair.Understanding and adherence to safety regulations.Ability to conduct pressure tests on gas systems.Skills in using gas analyzers.Proficiency in valve repair.Familiarity with SCADA systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanical aptitude.Experience with environmental fieldwork and testing.Proficiency in using GEM 5000 and Envision Analyzer.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00
