EXCEPTIONAL GASTROENTEROLOGY POSITION CURRENTLY AVAILABLE AT LAHEY HOSPITAL AND MEDICAL CENTER IN BURLINGTON, MA
The Department of Gastroenterology at BI Lahey Hospital and Medical Center (LHMC) is currently seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist. The GI Department is comprised of 21 physicians and 4 advanced practitioners all committed to providing compassionate, high quality, patient focused care. Providers see approximately 35,000 outpatients per year for a wide variety of GI and liver related problems including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, biliary tract disorders and diseases of the pancreas, colon cancer, and disorders of the esophagus. Physicians also perform approximately 20,000 procedures annually. Many of the Department’s physicians are frequently recognized in local and national publications as among the best in their field. The Department offers a collegial and supportive environment in which providers feel their efforts are recognized and valued. All of these factors contribute to an extremely low turnover rate within the Department.
The GI Department also has an ACGME accredited GI Fellowship Program with staff physicians holding academic appointments at Umass Chan Medical School. Staff gastroenterologists have the opportunity to interact with fellows, residents and medical students, and to teach at Umass Chan Medical School if so inclined.

Interested candidates should be Fellowship Trained in GI.
