\nJob Summary
\nAs Gastroenterology Technician 2, you work under clinical oversight and perform examinations and procedures proficiently. You also guide fellow technicians to ensure procedures meet standards. You oversee teammates cleaning and sterilizing equipment. Your role helps maintain a safe healthcare environment.
\nWhat You'll Do
\n\nHelp with procedures not needing sedation, making sure patients are informed, answering questions about the process.\nPartner with nurses and doctors during sedation procedures. Use scopes, monitor vital signs, and assist with emergencies like CPR.\nKeep equipment clean and sanitized. Train and oversee others to ensure quality control during gastrointestinal procedures.\nAssist in the recovery room by monitoring and noting patient physiological data. Additionally, you'll prepare specimen slides for lab investigation.\nMake sure technicians follow standards. Give feedback and train new technicians.\nPartner with Clinical Nurses in documenting required data during patient admission and discharge in the GI Lab.\nOrder supplies, get supervisor approval, and communicate with vendors for timely delivery.\nMonitor equipment, create quality reports.\nManage maintenance schedules and installation.\n\nWhat Will Make You Successful In The Role

\nQualifications
\n\nYou should have at least a high school diploma or a GED certification.\nYou should bring with you at least (3) three years of relevant work experience.\nYou need a Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate or willingness to get one within 30 days.\n
