Overview The Gate Guard’s main functions are monitoring and authorizing entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises. Under direct supervision, relies on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, related tasks and duties expressed, implied, or otherwise assigned. Ensures that all tasks are managed in accordance with the Customer’s requirements and the Company’s programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures compliance with all Company policies/procedures and maintains/improves good customer relations by providing quality, timely services. Responsibilities • Maintain a constant presence at the guard station. • Provides a professional and superior customer service experience. • Manages and maintains accurate logs of all incoming and outgoing personnel, vendors, and visitors. • Adhere to all Customer and Company policies and procedures. • Ensures that guard station is always secure, organized, and clean. Qualifications • Must be friendly, energetic, punctual, self-motivated, and detail oriented. • Ability to work with minimal supervision. • Must have the ability to work in a team environment and be a team player. • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal correspondence. • Must have excellent organizational skills. • Must have excellent time management abilities. • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal correspondence. • Ability to prioritize tasks in accordance to urgency. • Must possess a willingness to accept and follow the direction of others. • Knowledge and experience using computers, tablets and smartphones and different software applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Timekeeping software. • Ability to maintain normal attendance based on employee handbook standards.
