Primary Objective:
Responsible for monitoring high volume of daily driver deliveries, granting property access, and upholding and enforcing safety guidelines.
Major Function and Scope:
Utilizes the Mobilcast/RIC applications to track the route progress of drivers
Provides feedback to Routers regarding equipment constraints, delivery windows, and items to be redelivered
Communicates with warehouse management regarding loading issues
Functions as a liaison between the customer and Customer Service to help resolve delivery issues. Serves as liaison between drivers and leasing companies regarding equipment issues.
Communicates customer profile information to routers to aid in file maintenance updates
Generates reports relevant to departure, delivery, equipment usage and mileage variances. Posts results to appropriate Mohawk Intranet sites.
Maintains current driver/equipment database in RoadNet
Interfaces with UPS/RoadNet to resolve issues with hand-held Intermec units to include technical questions as well as the tracking of units sent for repair.
Ensures all captured information from Intermec units is downloaded and captured into databases
Conducts hand-held Intermec training for Drivers and Satellite Managers. Ensures correct reason codes are entered and that customer signatures are captured.
Attend any job related training deemed necessary by supervision
Follow all established standard operating procedures
Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
Perform other tasks assigned by management
Type of Experience and Knowledge:
High School diploma or GED required
Prior experience as a Dispatcher preferred
Knowledge of current DOT regulations
Ability to work both independently and within a team setting, including frequent communication with various Departments via radio, phone, and in-person conversations
Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information:
This position may occasionally require the team member to work with or around machinery in an environment where there may be regular exposure to noise from machinery, dust, fumes and variable temperatures.
Other working conditions may include working 12 hours and fixed shifts, including holidays
Must be able to lift 50lbs occasionally. Ability to sit for shift required. Climbing stairs, bending, or squatting may occasionally be required.
