Carries out moderately complex information systems and/or information technology tasks within more than one discipline, such as application support, database administration, software quality assurance/quality control, software engineering, network telecommunications, and infrastructure operations of administration, analysis, engineering and design. + Must be familiar with the following concepts (REST/XML API Support; Database administration; Linux Server Administration; Networking protocols; IAAS and SAAS operations and maintenance) + Apply scripting methodologies to automate installation and configuration related tasks. + Deploy, test, and maintain operating system and related gateway software. + Perform root cause analysis and diagnostics on various production systems. + Serve in an on-call rotation for production related incidents and issues. + Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with little to no supervision. + Implement standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters. + Identifies opportunities for process improvements and works with team members to implement efficiencies. + Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and, when necessary, performs data recovery. + Effectively create and maintain relevant systems documentation and user guides. + Work with internal teams to obtain an understanding of the applications the documentation requirement + Help solution and troubleshoot application being on-boarded into production environments + Produce high-quality documentation and emails that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for intended audiences + Work with PM to develop solutions by clearly identifying requirements; understanding system capabilities; suggesting alternative solutions + Interface with client app teams to help troubleshooting efforts **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent relevant experience. + 2+ years of experience in information technology, systems administration or other IT related field. **Other Job Specific Skills** + Knowledge of Web services and API Technologies (REST, SOAP/XML, JSON) + Knowledge on securing the web APIs data-integrity/confidentiality, basic auth and OAuth 2.0. + Knowledge of Ansible, HA Proxy (or other automation technologies) + Knowledge of API Management concepts & fundamentals + Strong working knowledge of Linux OS + Experience with VMware (VCenter), AWS technologies a plus + Applies standard methodology, techniques, procedures and criteria. + Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex system hardware, software or networking related problems. + Ability to plan and coordinate the deployment of new technology and resolve technical problems individually and as a project participant. + Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and to translate technical terminology into terms understandable to non-technical employees. **Compensation Ranges** Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience.
