Job Duties: Associate, Risk Governance with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, Texas. Ensuring on-going compliance to risk limits, by producing detailed risk forecasts and helping develop quantitative analyses used in measuring and managing financial risks (e.g., credit risk, interest rate risk, etc.) emanating from investment banking activities. Evaluating the cost and risk / return profile of proposed deals and broader portfolios of risk exposure. Create and evaluate risk mitigating strategies by analyzing and structuring vanilla and bespoke hedging solutions. Analyze business and market trends to project the performance of various financial products in different economic environments to help in business planning. Develop statistical analyses from large amounts of data to bring quantitative rigor to risk management efforts.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Technology Management, or a relevant field. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience with: working with finance structures, pay-offs, and legal documents related to credit instruments (like term loans, bridge loans, and revolvers) and credit derivatives (like index options and credit linked notes) for transactions; using probabilistic and deterministic financial models, including cashflow and option pricing analyses for credit instruments and credit derivatives; applying regulatory capital regimes, including the Basel and CCAR framework, required in calculating and optimizing return on equity; using statistical methods, such as hypothesis testing, regression, and time series analyses, and data analytics software, like Tableau, to analyze trends, spot anomalies, and summarize recommendations for portfolio and risk management; and running scenario analyses, including stressed loss calculations, used in various efforts to minimize exposure to market dislocations and economic shocks, and preparing associated summary presentations for management.
