We are looking for:
The Management Accounting Service Unit Manager is part of the Finance Service Line (GBS)
The service unit acts as a key point of contact for GBUs controllers and ensures worldwide delivery of high value accounting services in compliance with IFRS and Tax policies, based on standard and automated processes.
As a Service Unit Manager, you will lead and develop a team of more than 50 people responsible for the Management Accounting activities:
Perform cost accounting & fixed assets monthly closing Manage related data (cost centers, profit centers,) and reporting (e.g. BW reports) Perform inventory valuation Calculate product costing Produce reports on profitability, cash-flows and capex Support acquisition, growth & divestment projects Ensure IFRS16 complianceMore broadly, the Service Unit Manager is involved in the design of accounting flows (CO) and internal controls design.
You will be in charge to:
Improve processes in the scope of the service Unit with a customer-oriented approach Ensure compliance activities for your scope of services Managing and developing your team Contribute to Service Line transversal initiatives Manage audit relationship and audit process Support Group transformation
Key responsibilities of Service Unit Manager:
Manage performance Be accountable for service delivered, performance improvement and internal controls Manage significant escalation and ensure root cause resolution in case of service failure or escalation Drive individual and team performance
Ensure compliance with local & Group policy Ensure the application of Group standards for the entire set of activities managed by the Service Unit Continuously adapt the process to cover any change which might occur in the Service Unit activities perimeter, internal (e.g. ERP changes, new procedures) or external (e.g. legislation) to ensure the result.
Education and Experience
Master’s degree in in Finance/accounting studies
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in finance domain, preferably in manufacturing environment, including 3-year managerial experience with diverse team, in different locations
Skills and behavioral competencies
Proven leadership and people management skills Effective organizational skills and ability to navigate through different levels of the organization High level of Communication skills Strong costing knowledge & analytical skill SAP experience in the domain Proactive with a high level of initiative Strong collaboration skills Project Management experience Problem solving
Language skills
Excellent communication skills in English
Ability to speak the local language is a plus
