Job Overview and Responsibilities

Syensqo is creating its internal Global Business Services (GBS) to cover Finance, Procurement and Human Resources activities.  We offer you to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment and to contribute to this group’s transformation.

The incumbent will be accountable to monitor and analyze the payment process. He/she will ensure that AP is following the correct Payment Procedure and rules, identifying cash leakage, duplicate and/or overpayments, preventing fraud, monitoring internal controls and segregation of duties within the payment process. This includes mitigating future risk by providing insights, best practices and root cause analysis.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Monitor and control the payment process, executing audit and random checks to guarantee compliance and quality improvement Prevent duplicate payments in Fraud and Double Payments Detection Monitor Debtor Balance Accountable of running Self Billing Process and IFRS16 operation Perform and promote problem solving, root-cause analysis on duplicate payment or overpayment issues working closely with Account Payable Specialist Ensure the recovery of the amount paid in duplicity Ensure that AP are following the correct payment Procedure, detecting and alerting any gap or inconsistency Propose improvements to prevent future leakage and ensure a global follow up for improvement plans Support the Fraud and double payment detection process and provide reports Support the due date changes control process together with the AP Team Lead Support Operations on payment issues Support the due date changes process together with the AP Team Lead Participate in payment process projects  Develop, maintain, update and ensure the diffusion of the operational procedures Build and contribute to standard specific reports linked to payments Monitor internal control results and segregation of duties

 

Education and Experience

Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance or in a relevant domain Possess 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing or finance domains Accounting background

 

Must-have skills

SAP experience  Proactive with a high level of initiative and autonomy in the day-to-day organization Customer-orientated with good level of problem-solving skills Strong collaboration skills

 

Must-have language skills

Fluent in English (both written & spoken)
