Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Analytical Chemist to provide accurate analytical services and results. The ideal candidate will perform routine extraction, chemical isolation, and sample clean-up tasks, as well as operate a variety of laboratory equipment.
ResponsibilitiesPerform routine extraction, chemical isolation, and sample clean-up using techniques such as blending, shaking, Soxhlet extraction, digestion, SPE, distillation/condensation, liquid-liquid partitioning, and chemical derivatization.Extract samples and prepare reagents according to documented methods and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Operate laboratory equipment including blenders, nitrogen and roto-evaporators, shakers, pH meters, and centrifuges.Independently document and prepare reagents and analytical working standards according to current SOPs.Essential SkillsProficiency in chemistry, analytical chemistry, and quality control.Experience with bench chemistry and gas chromatography (GC - MSMS).Knowledge of gas chromatography with Ion Monitoring, MRM (multiple reaction monitoring), and SRM (selective reaction monitoring).Expertise in sample preparation, extraction, and the use of mass spectrometry and gas chromatograph software.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related science from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Work Environment
The position operates within a laboratory environment, utilizing general laboratory equipment and techniques. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57200.00 - $57200.00/yr.
