Overview:
This position works under limited supervision to provide complex analytical, operational, and or technical support as part of a functional team leading Global Capital Markets’ Administrative Account Reviews.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Administrative Account Review functional team within Service Delivery is responsible for supporting Global Capital Markets’ commitment to risk management and client service by completing specific tasks in connection with the periodic review of institutional client accounts. This position will be responsible for supporting the broader team through participation and representation on projects and initiatives and taking a lead role in developing and implementing processes, procedures and reporting enhancements with a focus on exception analysis and management. Responsibilities include:
Develop and produce complex ad-hoc departmental reports and spreadsheets, including but not limited to, project and/or process strategy analysis, historical reporting and workflow, statistical and financial analysis in support of the Global Capital Markets business.Research and gather business, process, and/or financial information to support these activities.Complete ad-hoc analyses to support business decisions. Provide feedback to management regarding results and make recommendations on findings to management.Develop a thorough understanding of the Global Capital Markets business and its functions, processes and operations. Remain current on business and market trends that may affect the business/department.Manage the planning and implementing of new projects, products, programs and plans within Global Capital Markets to achieve short and long-term business objectives; coordinate the design and execution of various projects for the promotion and maintenance of the business.Develop system/process enhancement plans.May be involved in setting policy or developing and overseeing the implementation of procedures or controls related to compliance requirements within the overall business processes, directly or indirectly monitoring functions that, on a daily basis, ensure procedures and controls are functioning as designed, developing training for business line personnel regarding procedures and controls designed to ensure compliance with laws and/or regulations, completing or overseeing embedded compliance self-testing and/or managing examinations or audits involving regulatory matters and any resultant corrective actions.Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.Complete other related duties as assigned.Scope of Responsibilities:
This position works under limited supervision and will provide support to less experienced personnel. The position requires substantial interaction with internal stakeholders to obtain pertinent information and serves as a liaison between the department and other business units on projects and initiatives.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in field, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience including a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field
Skilled proficiency in use of pertinent spreadsheet, database, graphing and presentation software
Working knowledge of financial models
Excellent knowledge of pertinent operating systems

The pay range for this position is $77,026.05 - $128,376.75 Annual (USD).
