This role reports to the Enterprise Technology Senior Governance and Reporting GCO Lead and provides support across the Enterprise Tech GCO teams. The position ensures effective and timely coordination of GCO processes, requirements, and activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and prior experience with formal risk management processes including governance routines, issues management, change risk, business continuity, disaster recovery, third party risk, and have experience leading high profile and / or cross functional projects Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Specific activities may change from time to time. + Manage GCO improvement initiatives workstreams and high profile projects. + Facilitate cross functional activities with other lines of business GCO teams and with other Enterprise Technology teams. + Coordinate closely with Truist’s Risk Management Organization (RMO) to ensure proper program adherence and regulatory compliance. + Manage business office activities for the Enterprise Technology GCO team + Manage GCO process for Enterprise Technology Third Party Risk Management, including challenge, review, and exception review / approval. + Provide GCO leadership for managing Enterprise Change Risk Management processes for technology initiatives. + Provide business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident management expertise to first line execution efforts. + Lead and report on special projects for the GCO team, providing strong risk management expertise and guidance. + Oversee processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting on improvement initiatives and business as usual activities. + Provide coaching and mentoring to support growth and development of teammates and provide a pipeline of talent to the organization. + Serve as backup to Senior GCO and GCO Senior Governance and Reporting leaders **Required Qualifications:** The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or science/academic field, or equivalent education and related training or experience. + Strong technology experience with background in core technology and delivery areas, inclusive of data. + Experience managing key risk programs. + Program/project management skill set and change management. + Proven risk management leader in financial services or related field. + Deep working knowledge of rules/laws/regs/guidance for financial institutions focused on technology. + Deep working knowledge of core risk types for financial institutions. + Basic understanding of core business lines and responsibilities. + Experience in management of key risk programs. + General knowledge of testing and audit process and expectations. + Proven leadership skills and facilitation to lead direct teams and matrixed activities. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to think critically and creatively to problem solve and improve process to mitigate risk. + Experience in strategic planning to lead for the future. + Ability to navigate the organization, conduct discussions across all levels of the company. + Ability to lead through times of stress and change. + Strong governance and analytic abilities. + Ability to provide effective challenge to across levels of the organization. + Ability to travel, occasionally overnight. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master’s degree in finance, business, technology or equivalent academic field + Fifteen years of risk management or audit experience in financial services, technology or related field + Ten years of demonstrated leadership experience leading teams and high profile projects + Fifteen plus years’ experience in technology + Proven experience leading large scale improvement initiatives and influencing positive outcomes + Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills + Proven leadership and management skills + Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills in complex environments and with senior leadership + Strong time management and organizational skills adaptable to a dynamic and complex work environment; Capable of handling multiple projects concurrently. **General Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of Truist Financial Corporation:** All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
