Advanced Analyst - Tax Engagement Management Services

EMS offers the ease of managing clients (also referred to as Engagements within EY) in the following manner: Providing Operations management support on complex regulatory affairs across multiple jurisdiction Managing the end-to-end Engagement lifecycle management process and reporting standards Providing project management support and controlling the cost of managing compliance across various regions/countries Responsible for ensuring smooth delivery as per agreed SLA’s

Globally, tax and accounts preparation activities are conducted mostly in the local countries and hence requires a wide network of EY professionals to work together to deliver to the client expectations. A central team of EMS members work with this global network of EY professionals to ensure client’s compliance and reporting obligations across the globe are met on time. The EMS team manages the engagement together with the tax and accounting practices operating from local offices in Americas, EMEIA and APAC.

 

The opportunity

The job holder will work on several client accounts/ engagements, where they will be involved in delivering all service management aspects of multi- national engagement.

 

Your key responsibilities

Legals

Follow up and track all contracting - including Statements of Work, Framework Agreements, Local Contracts and internal “Prime Sub Memos” Review and incorporate any procurement or globally agreed policies and procedures into local contracts Ensure adherence of local contracts to any overarching frame agreement Manage to legal process to conclusion

Financials

Calculate and produce internal financial communications Collect and build budget across the various workstreams Collect actuals data and forecasts Produce budget to actuals reporting Determine the appropriate formal schedules to manage the project Produce management and project reports on periodical and ad-hoc basis Develop consistent financial reporting across projects Support Service Management Office in project administration Maintain a full log of scope and fees across the lifetime of the project Monitor time and expenses of all team members and validate compliance against policies Verify internal billing Produce client invoicing proposals based on the agreed billing structure Reconcile project codes Communicate and coordinate with the organization’s internal financial systems to facilitate invoice and payment process Establish a payment tracking process and resolve payment issues or inquiries Lead the development of the financial plan Track the progress against the financial plan Identify, track and report financial metrics

 

Scope and changes

Establish the agreed scope change process and templates Monitor all ongoing scope changes and ensure proper documentation is being maintained Ensure the process is adhered to by all parties Track and actively follow up on scope changes – both client side and internally Ensure all scope changes are reflected into the financial planning

 

Skills and attributes to qualify for the role

We are looking for candidates with the following:

2 to 4 years of total work experience Understanding of backend financial processes of a company Bachelors or Master’s degree, preferably Finance, Commerce, Math, Computer Science, Engineering or Business Management Experience in working in a multi-cultural and team environment  CAPM/CSUM or similar project management certification is preferrable Proficiency with D&A tools like Advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau is desirable Proficiency with VBA Macro is desirable

You will need to:

Have excellent communication skills - both written and oral Demonstrate strong organizational skills and structured thinking abilities Demonstrate strong interpersonal and analytical skills Demonstrate an eye for detail Be flexible and willing to adjust responsibilities to align with developing business needs Proficiency in MS Project is desirable Be proficient in Word/PowerPoint/Excel
