What impact you'll make

GE Vernova Wind Services is seeking sharp, personable, highly organized interns who are looking for the opportunity to grow their domain knowledge in the data field. Interns will engage in hands-on data projects while also enhancing their business and professional skills. Interns will learn from the best in the industry and work on substantial projects with real world implications, getting hands-on with digital technologies.

What you'll do

Interns may work on assignments similar to those below:

Data Governance Intern: 

Expand the Data Lineage and Metadata Management solution Build analytics to drive optimization and remove unused and duplicate data

Platforms/Data Operations Intern: 

Explore new Cloud technologiesDesign solutions to implement and deploy new technologies  

Power Data Portal Intern:  

One-stop shop for Data @ GE Vernova Wind – integrate certified analytics, how-tos, training and data access into a single portal

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

Students must be currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline as listed below from an accredited university.Eligible Majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, IT Security, Informatics, Information Science/Technology, Software Engineering, Security and Risk Analysis, or other relevant STEM majors with IT experienceGPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0 overall without rounding

Must be willing to live in Schenectady, NY. Relocation assistance provided.Must have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship

The pay for this position ranges from $21.00/hr - $34.00/hr based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed

This position is also eligible for:

Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral servicesGE Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
