**Job Title: Gear Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a Gear Machinist to perform duties including gear cutting and other related tasks. The role involves working with various machines, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring quality standards are met. **Responsibilities** + Work from blueprints and process sheets + Insert and secure tooling in machine + Use hand tools effectively + Perform machine setups as required + Set up and operate gear shaping machines to machine splines or gear teeth + Perform machine troubleshooting and make necessary adjustments + Set up and verify preset gauges + Inspect parts for correct dimensions and maintain company quality standards + Enter data into ERP systems + Support continuous improvement activities + Ability to lift up to 25 lbs **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of machining experience + Experience in gear cutting + Ability to read blueprints and work instructions + Basic quality inspection skills + High School Diploma / GED **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with machine setup **Why Work Here?** We offer comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage. Overtime is not mandatory but is available if desired. **Work Environment** The position is for the 2nd shift (2 PM - 10:30 PM) with training on the 1st shift for up to 2 months. The pay rate is $23-25/hour plus a $2 shift premium for the 2nd shift. The machine shop is clean and organized, consisting of CNC lathes, CNC mills, manual machines, gearing machines, a deburring department, and a quality department. We are a global supplier of custom manufactured gears, splines, and complex shafts, primarily serving the aerospace market.
