Gear Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a Gear Machinist to perform duties including gear cutting and other related tasks. The role involves working with various machines, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring quality standards are met.

ResponsibilitiesWork from blueprints and process sheetsInsert and secure tooling in machineUse hand tools effectivelyPerform machine setups as requiredSet up and operate gear shaping machines to machine splines or gear teethPerform machine troubleshooting and make necessary adjustmentsSet up and verify preset gaugesInspect parts for correct dimensions and maintain company quality standardsEnter data into ERP systemsSupport continuous improvement activitiesAbility to lift up to 25 lbsEssential Skills2+ years of machining experienceExperience in gear cutting, gear shaping, or gear hobbingAbility to read blueprints and work instructionsBasic quality inspection skillsHigh School Diploma / GED

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $52000.00/yr.
