Milacron is looking for a Gearbox Mechanic to join our team in McPherson, Ks.

Work You’ll Do:

• Keep records of gearboxes, inspections, serial numbers, evaluations, locations, etc.

• Maintain equipment in good working condition reporting on issues, malfunctions, or defective parts. • Tear down and diagnose incoming gearboxes, assemble and prepare gearboxes for shipment.

• Work independently; assist and train all new hires and less experienced mechanics.

• Maintain plant standards in areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, 5S, housekeeping, teamwork and attendance.

• Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress or emergency situations, priority changes, or new assignments.

Team: You will be on a team of 5 within Gearbox department, working first shift.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• 1 to 3 years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Must be able to drive a forklift or company vehicle. Requires valid state driver’s license and certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical school training preferred.

• Assembly (2) years and manufacturing (1) year, preferred.
