We are looking for a Gene Therapy Compliance and Excellence Lead who is experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive to join our Process Compliance and Excellence Team, based at our UCB campus in Braine-l'alleud, Belgium.

About the Role

You will be responsible for ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) operations compliance and excellence in our Gene Therapy Plant. You will facilitate a compliant environment, deliver high-quality products, and ensure the well-being of our colleagues.

Who You Will Work With

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams within Development, including production, process engineering, and supply chain teams, to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

What You Will DoEnsure a good understanding of GMP requirements for the Gene Therapy facility.Manage compliance of GMP operations starting at the launch of the plant.Lead and contribute to continuous improvement and lean initiatives.Manage deviations, investigations, and corrective actions as per UCB procedures.Act as a trainer/coach on root cause analysis and process improvement.Lead compliance visits and housekeeping processes, identifying gaps and defining actions for improvement.

 

Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following qualifications, experience, and skills:Master’s degree and minimum 7 years of experience with cGMP procedures and requirements.Experience with biopharmaceuticals, ideally Advanced Medicinal Products and viral vector production processes.Experience in compliance, production, or quality departments.Leadership experience in matrix organizations.Ability to oversee complex processes and create appropriate structures.Excellent management skills and ability to follow up on various actions in parallel.Ability to work independently and motivate others.Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and maintain good working relationships.Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
