The General Accountant is responsible for providing support for accurate financial reporting and month-end close with generally accepted accounting principles and in compliance with financial policies.
Duties and Responsibilities Perform Month-End (ME) close cycle activities as follows:a) Accruals of unposted invoices as of end of the month
b) Various Accrual entries (e.g. commissions, volume rebates)
c) lntercompany reconciliations and posting of adjustments
d) Bank Reconciliations
e) US payroll postings
f) Sales Deferral and Accrual
g) Other entries/adjustments that are deemed necessary to execute and complete the ME close cycle activities
a) Accounts substantiation and analyses/Blackline
b) Goods Received/Invoice Received (GR/IR) reconciliation and adjustments
c) Freight analysis and clearing
d) Clearing of G/L account balances to ensure that only "Open Items" are retained in the ledger
e) Perform cross country audit on selected balance sheet accounts
f) Verify data accuracy & data processing of accounting related information
a) Creation and releasing of internal orders
b) Closing of internal orders and capitalizing an asset
c) Fixed asset disposal
d) Internal order cancellation
e) Lease Accounting
