We are looking for a General Assistant to join us at Newcastle United Football Club

You’ll be playing a big part in daily logistics of the retail catering team.

Sodexo embeds a strong Safety culture in everything we do. There will be company procedures to follow alongside our hygiene and Health and Safety practises, so it is vital that you'll champion this.

Role Responsibility To be flexible in your approach to working within all departments within the operation Ensure units are thoroughly stocked ahead of fixtures and events Ensure all draught products are dispensed through clean beer lines Ensuring strict adherence to manufacturer’s instructions regarding the use of chemical agents and their application Line cleaning according to SSW Carry out stock checks Ensure the safe storage of stock throughout the building Adhere to all Health/Hygiene Legislation Ensure the cleanliness of units at all times Dispose of all rubbish after service Assisting when directed to do so, with stocktaking of both wet and dry goods Ensuring the security of all keys and areas within the catering facility Ensure the preparatory work for all events is completed in a timely manner To comply fully with all regulations relating to health and Safety: Fire precautions and emergency procedures COSHH Hygiene and Food Safety Comply with all company policies and procedures including uniform policy Completing any relevant inputting or paperwork as directed in accordance with business procedures Wear all allocated uniform and PPE for all shifts and follow hygiene guidelines Ensuring correct and hygiene handling (processing) of food items is maintained To partake in any training as required by both legislation and the Company To be willing to assist/move to other areas of the business to further develop skills and cover business demands Any other duties that is of a reasonable request The Ideal Candidate

Essential 

Must be able to work weekend Knowledge and experience of beer line cleaning and cellar management   Flexibility to change tasks as and when required.    Willingness to work outside.    Ability to cope in a busy work environment    Ability to work on own initiative when required

Desirable 

Knowledge of COSHH Willingness for self-development
