General Auto Service Technician

We are looking for an all around Automotive Tech to join our team! We are looking for a candidate with great attention to detail. You will diagnose, list repair recommendations and complete repairs to specifications on most makes and models of vehicles, both foreign and domestic. It is expected you will complete these tasks in a timely manner without shortcuts.

Job Description

Duties include inspection, diagnoses, repair, and replacement of general parts and accessories for cars and light trucksPerform fluid exchanges, general inspections and maintenance, brake inspection, battery, and electronics workPerform a variety of other duties: replacing wiper blades, bulbs, performing test drivesFocus on building customer relationships and their current and future needsCommunicate vehicle problems and proposed solutions to customer and/or supervisorKeep a clean and safe working environment

Job Requirements: 

Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendationsPerform all aspects of automotive maintenance and repair. Tasks including computer diagnostic procedures, engine repair, cooling system repair, emissions system repairMaintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair by attending schooling and seminarsConduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drivesMaintain accurate and up to date information (we are an electronic shop) for both the customer and for our recordsPerform all aspects of automotive maintenance and repair. Tasks including computer diagnostic procedures, engine repair, cooling system repair, emissions system repairClean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safetyAble to create estimates and advise customers of repairs/maintenance needed

Qualifications:

Automotive repair experience in a professional shop environment is preferredStrong verbal communication skillsStrong customer service skillsFollow company procedures and protocolKnowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment
