Chenega Analytic Business Solutions (CABS) provides federal agencies and commercial customers with trusted insights into Records and Information Management, Administrative Solutions, Information Technology, Engineering, and Training. Formed in 2017 to serve federal and commercial customers, CABS is 8(a) certified and has grown quickly into a leader in the federal IT and Training environment. The General Clerk is responsible for providing general clerical and customer service for the issuance of Common Access Cards (CAC) to eligible personnel, secretarial, travel claim liquidation processing, and transportation programmatic support to Personnel Support Detachments in Japan. Responsibilities Verify the identity of card recipients as required by the AFI 36-3026(I), complete, generate, and print the DD Form 1172 (Application for Uniformed Services Identification Card and DEERS enrollment) and print the DD Form 1172-2 (Application for DoD Common Access Card, DEERS enrollment). Add, update, retrieve, display, transmit and store data on DoD-sponsored individuals in the DEERS database after verifying the official documentation. Generate the CAC for the selected eligible population utilizing RAPIDS workstations, requesting, and downloading Certificate of Acceptance (CA), requesting that CAC recipients enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) for their card, encode the printed card with the recipients’ keys, and certificates, provide the CAC recipient with and obtain his/her signature on the Subscriber Certificate Acceptance and Acknowledgement of Responsibilities forms (DD Form 2842). Ensure that users understand their responsibilities concerning the CAC and the information stored on it. Before assuming duties, read and sign the DD Form 2841 DOD (PKI) Registration Official Certificate of Acceptance and Acknowledgement of Responsibilities. Advise customers to verify/update the Record of Emergency Data (Page 2 of service record) and shall conduct a daily inventory of issued/failed cards and submit findings to the Site Security Manager (SSM). Receive incoming queries from PSA clients, by phone, E-mail, fax, or in person and direct them to appropriate PSA personnel for action. Type and file documents and assist with general customer service as required. Complete annual company and customer training requirements. Record labor hours daily in the company timekeeping system. Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 1+ years of experience in providing secretarial/administrative support services. Human Resource (HR) background in any of the following disciplines: Military Pay, Military Personnel, Travel Claims, Navy Transportation, or Office Administration. Substitutions for HR background can be from similar experience gained in any of the private sector or other federal agencies. Interim Secret clearance is required to start. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance for the lifecycle of the contract. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to interact with others and explain complex actions regarding a military member’s entitlements, allowances, or collections. Working knowledge of commonly used military terminology to be used in office settings to prepare material correctly. Ability to make appropriate use of grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation in all office correspondences and work products. Working knowledge of standard office equipment such as computers, electric typewriters, copiers, fax machines, scanners, and other office automation systems to perform a substantial range of office automation support.
