The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery and equipment used in various construction projects, including paving, excavation, and site preparation. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, the ability to work collaboratively, and a passion for delivering high-quality results. Key Responsibilities + Operate heavy construction equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and rollers, in a safe and efficient manner. + Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. + Assist in the preparation and layout of construction sites, including grading and excavation activities. + Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and laborers to complete tasks according to project specifications and timelines. + Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. + Keep accurate records of equipment usage, project progress, and any issues encountered on-site. + Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of equipment operation and safety practices. + Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and address any concern Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent preferred; certification in heavy equipment operation is a plus. + Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a construction environment. + Strong understanding of construction processes and safety regulations. + Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs). + Valid driver's license; a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred. + Strong communication and teamwork skills.
