General Counsel
Description We are on the lookout for a competent General Counsel to join our team in Tampa, Florida. As a General Counsel, you will be tasked with managing risks, handling legal contracts, and ensuring efficient communication within the organization. The role requires you to review contracts, manage engagements, and strive for resolution without resorting to court proceedings, while also having litigation experience. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee risk management operations within the organization • Draft, review, and implement legal contracts to ensure they comply with regulations • Handle vendor contracts, ensuring they are in line with company policies • Develop and manage engagement letters, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date • Strive to resolve disputes and conflicts without resorting to court proceedings, but be prepared for litigation when necessary • Maintain accurate documentation of all legal proceedings and contracts • Utilize ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode for effective communication within the organization • Ensure all legal operations align with 3M and athenahealth standards • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with legal regulations • Administer claims and ensure they are processed efficiently and accurately. Requirements • Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a General Counsel. • Demonstrable expertise in handling business systems is a must. • Candidates should have substantial experience in auditing. • Applicants must be proficient in claim administration processes. • A solid background in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts is necessary. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. • Candidates should be adept at documentation and record-keeping. • Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal contracts is required. • Proficiency in managing vendor contracts and relations is expected Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
