The Staff Dentist is responsible for rendering dental care to patients of TVHC, Inc. They are further responsible for assuring efficient and adequate patient flow. This includes the proper utilization of dental assistants and support staff, and the responsibility to deliver quality dental care to all patients.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday with periodic Saturday hours.

Compensation: $160,617.60K - $175,510.40K annualized, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

Provides direct patient care in the dental center on a regular schedule and in emergency call situations as directed by the Supervisor. Assures adequate supervision of the dental hygienist and assistant staff, while performing dental services. Provides oversight of clinical services to dental hygiene students and dental residents. Cooperates in activities with other operating units of the Health Center (e.g., participation in health fairs, screening activities, and community outreach). Assist the Supervisor in planning and implementing new programs for the dental department Responsible for following Center protocols and observance of current OSHA requirements and those particular to TVHC, Inc. Maintains confidentially regarding privileged, administrative, client information, and Corporate Compliance in a professional manner. Working as a member of the health care team, and assisting in the education of patients and the target community in preventive health care and health maintenance concepts. Demonstration of patterns of continued learning in order to ensure growth as a practitioner. Participates in the selection of new personnel and evaluation of existing staff. Assumes other responsibilities at the direction of the Supervisor. Performs all duties and services in full compliance with TVHC’s Service Excellence Standards.
