Position Overview:

The General Labor role serves as a key function in the operation and on-going maintenance of the high-speed manufacturing equipment that produces both metal cans and ends at the Dubuque, Iowa manufacturing location. 

 

Duties And Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to manufacturing floor supervision and management, the Janitor or General Labor responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:   

Maintain all housekeeping inside the manufacturing plant Operate scrubbing machinery as needed Sort finished product and support operations as a machine operator when needed Use approved solvents to remove grease, dirt, build-up from all equipment and machinery as well as the general facility Wipe and clean out all oil pans Clean and wax floors and perform maintenance tasks and yard work duties as needed Dispose of all cleaning waste, press units, etc. as directed Maintain cleaning records as required Support in keeping all equipment clean and orderly Keeping the work area clean and organized, performing minor tasks as directed by the line maintainer here qualified Observe and practices company safety rules and SOP’s at all times Communicate all pertinent information between departments, peers and between shifts on changes to equipment, production schedules, production problems or any other related information.
