**Job Title: General Laborer** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as **General Laborers** at a flour mill. This position involves performing essential cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the facility, including sweeping, mopping floors, replacing light bulbs, and shoveling flour. Candidates must be able to adhere to strict food manufacturing safety guidelines and maintain a strong work ethic while working on their feet for the entire shift. This is an excellent opportunity for those who are flexible, independent, and committed to maintaining a clean and safe work environment. **Responsibilities:** + Perform general cleaning and sanitation tasks across the facility. + Sweep and mop floors to maintain cleanliness. + Replace light bulbs and handle minor facility maintenance tasks. + Shovel flour into barrels for manufacturing purposes. + Clean flour spills across all 9 floors of the facility, including the exterior. + Work independently while taking direction as needed. **Essential Skills:** + Ability to follow strict **food manufacturing safety guidelines** . + Capable of working on your feet throughout the entire shift. + Previous experience in **manual labor, production, manufacturing, cleaning, sanitation, landscaping, maintenance, shoveling, or construction** . + Ability to lift heavy objects as required. + Proficiency with basic tools such as **brooms** and **shovels** . **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** + Comfortable working around flour and in a **hot, loud environment** . + **2 years of experience** in a manufacturing, industrial, or construction role. + Strong references confirming **consistent work ethic** and **attendance** . + A **trainable attitude** and willingness to learn. **Why Work Here?** This company offers a great career opportunity with a supportive and invested supervisor who genuinely cares about employee well-being and success. The building is an old brick structure, typically warm, and candidates should be prepared to work in a flour-covered environment daily. **Shifts:** + **7:00 AM to 4:00 PM** or **4:00 PM to 11:00 PM** , with the expectation to work **6 days per week** . + Any hours worked over **40 hours per week** will be **overtime** . + While the 6th day of work is **not mandatory** , the best candidates will be willing to work all 6 days. **Job Type & Location:** + **Position Type:** Contract-to-Hire + **Location:** Buffalo, New York **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
