**Job Title: General Laborer** JOB DUTIES: - Operate a shearing machine, bending machine, overhead crane, or fabmatic machine - Unload trailers and store material in storage bins - Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping - Operate power saw for cutting steel bars - Operate spray gun **Hard Skills** + Fabrication + Metal Cutting + Heavy Lifting + Shaking rebar **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 600 Hour(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Plainville, Connecticut. **Work Environment** This is a very safety-conscious environment. Management stresses safety as their number one priority and has zero tolerance for those who don't respect that. The work is in an open shop environment, meaning exposure to the elements (hot during summer and cold during winter). Candidates will work in a closely monitored environment and will train hand-in-hand with the safety manager and foreman. SCHEDULE: 1st shift: 6:00am-3:00pm, with the potential for 10-hour days, totaling 50 hours a week. There is also the possibility of a half-day on Saturday.
