**Job Title: General Laborer** **Job Description** A rebar fabricator is looking for General Production/Utility people. JOB DUTIES: - Operate a shearing machine, bending machine, overhead crane, or fabmatic machine - Unload trailers and store material in storage bins - Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping - Operate power saw for cutting steel bars - Operate spray gun **Hard Skills** + Fabrication + Metal Cutting + Heavy Lifting + Shaking rebar **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 600 Hour(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Plainville, Connecticut. **Work Environment** This is a very safety-conscious environment. Management will stress this repeatedly as their number one priority and have zero tolerance for those who don't respect that. You will be working in an open shop environment, exposed to the elements (hot during summer and cold during winter). Candidates will work in a closely monitored environment and train hand-in-hand with the safety manager and foreman. SCHEDULE: 1st shift: 6:00am-3:00pm, with potential for 10-hour days and 50-hour weeks. There is a possibility for a half-day on Saturday. Currently not running but candidates must be available if needed on a Saturday. Half-hour lunch and scheduled breaks.
