**Job Title: Laborer** **Job Description** In this demanding role, you will perform tasks as assigned by the Front Line Supervisor, involving the production of precast concrete products, using a variety of hand and power tools. Responsibilities include: - Performing a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor. - Setting up wire cages in steel forms and pouring concrete. - Maintaining a clean job site: picking up all tools and equipment and securing the job site each day to eliminate potential hazards. - Material handling and storage including wire, steel rings, and steel forms. - Loading and unloading trucks. - Ensuring that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 4 PM Compensation: $18.25/hr. **Hard Skills** + Concrete labor + Machine operating + Concrete production process + Cleaning/general labor duties **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 5 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Salem, Virginia. **Work Environment** Ability to work 8+ hours per day. Non-climate controlled environment. Outside/open door plant. Could be loud, dirty, and will be working with concrete. This position is physically demanding and often requires work outdoors, while exposed to all types of weather conditions. Work is performed in a production environment, with ambient air conditions, loud noise, dangerous equipment, and variable lighting.
