**Job Title: General Laborer $18/hr** **Job Description** We are looking for a dedicated General Laborer to join our team at the shipyard. This role involves a variety of tasks associated with maintaining and repairing tug boats, ferries, and other water transport equipment. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors and is comfortable with physical labor in varying weather conditions. **Responsibilities** + Assist in various aspects of the shipyard operations. + Work on tug boats, ferries, and water transport equipment. + Perform basic cable pulling, wire pulling, and prep work. + Assist with painting tasks, including rolling and prepping boats. + Monitor skilled welders to ensure welds do not spark on the ship. + Handle and lift materials between boats. + Drill and screw into new or renovated boats. + Perform overall utility work around the shipyard. + Assist other employees with various labor tasks. **Work Environment** This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors. The work involves being outside on boats, ships, and other water transport equipment, with some tasks conducted in covered hangars. Be prepared for varying weather conditions, as it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
