Our client is a leading construction company and is currently looking for a General Laborer to join their construction crew in Ventura, CA. In this role, you will assist skilled tradespeople with various tasks on construction sites, ensuring efficient and safe project completion.

This is a Monday to Friday opportunity, with 12-hour shifts, offering a pay rate between $20.00 - $25.00/hour.

Responsibilities:

Assist skilled tradespeople with tasks as directed.Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to designated areas.Help with the setup and dismantling of scaffolding, temporary structures, and work platforms.Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris, hazardous materials, and ensuring a safe working environment.Operate basic tools and equipment such as hammers, drills, and grinders to complete various tasks.Assist with the alignment and assembly of pipes, fittings, and mechanical systems.Perform routine inspections on tools and equipment, reporting any damage or defects to the supervisor.Follow all directives from site supervisors and construction foremen to ensure timely project completion.Work in a safety-conscious environment, with a focus on team collaboration in fast-paced construction projects.

Requirements:

Prior experience in construction, preferably in industrial or offshore settings. Experience with basic tools and equipment handling is required.Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy materials, working at heights, and operating in confined spaces.Strong work ethic, good communication skills, and basic mechanical aptitude.Ability to follow instructions precisely and work efficiently in a team setting.Willingness to work rotational shifts, including extended periods offshore.
