**Now Hiring: General Laborer and Assembler** **Job Description** The General Production Worker is responsible for constructing high-quality mattresses by assembling various components according to company standards and specifications. Entry Level candidates can be considered. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with hand and power tools and heavy lifting. **Responsibilities** + Precisely assemble mattress components such as springs, foam, and fabric layers, ensuring each piece is correctly aligned and secured. + Safely operate machinery and tools required for mattress assembly, including sewing machines, staple guns, and cutting tools. + Conduct thorough inspections of materials and finished products to identify any defects or inconsistencies, ensuring only high-quality items proceed to the next stage. + Adhere to detailed instructions and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly, making adjustments as necessary to meet specifications. + Keep the work area clean and organized, promptly disposing of waste materials and ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly. + Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). + Conduct routine maintenance on assembly equipment, such as cleaning and lubricating machines, and report any malfunctions to the supervisor. + Work closely with team members to meet production targets, sharing information and assisting others as needed. + Accurately record production data, including the number of units assembled and any issues encountered, to maintain accurate documentation. + Help with the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring they are handled carefully to avoid damage. + Attend training sessions to improve skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with new techniques and equipment. + Maintain open and effective communication with supervisors and team members, reporting any issues or concerns promptly. + Handle all materials and products with care to avoid damage, ensuring they are stored and transported properly. **Essential Skills** + Experience in production and assembly. + Proficiency in using hand and power tools. + Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual dexterity. + Strong technical skills and quality control awareness. + Excellent time management and communication skills. + Ability to work effectively in a team and adaptability to changing tasks. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Attention to detail. + Ability to follow instructions and blueprints accurately. + Experience with routine maintenance of assembly equipment. **Why Work Here?** Our Client is an employee-owned company dedicated to producing high-quality mattresses and box springs.
