Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and safety-oriented General Laborer to join our team. This role involves general labor and forklift operation in a dynamic and busy warehouse setting. You will start with comprehensive safety training and then assist in sorting and grading metals, working directly with customers, and handling various materials.
ResponsibilitiesSort and grade metals.Work directly with customers to receive incoming products.Lift materials up to 50 lbs.Assist in learning and operating sit-down, gas-powered forklifts.Ensure all safety protocols are followed and personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times.Essential SkillsExperience with materials handling and general labor.Familiarity with warehouse operations.Proficiency in using hand and power tools.Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).Basic mechanical knowledge.Additional Skills & QualificationsComfortable working outdoors and exposed to the elements.Experience in roles such as construction, landscaping, hardscaping, or logging industry is beneficial.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This is a highly industrial working environment, mostly outdoors or near the elements. The facility is busy with a lot of traffic from tractor trailers and large machinery. The work environment can be dirty, and employees must be comfortable working in various weather conditions. PPE is mandatory, including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hard hats, high-visibility vests, and gloves (all provided except boots). The facility operates unless there is a state of emergency, supporting clients in all conditions. Employees will interact with various customers and must be comfortable interfacing with them.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00
