Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to fill four open Packager positions for the 2nd shift from 10am-6pm, Monday through Friday.

ResponsibilitiesWork in an industrial environment.Stand for the entire shift at the end of the packaging line.Package steel by banding large plates according to customer specifications.Learn customer requirements per order, including skidded wood runners, number of bands, and waterproof paper needs.Collaborate with another packager to package 50-100 bundles a day.Handle steel plates/sheets weighing 2,000-5,000 lbs per bundle.Use plastic banding for 99% of packaging tasks.Read work instructions and collaborate with the team lead.Operate a stacker machine, load coils, and make skids.Utilize hand tools, a nail gun, and a stapler.Operate overhead crane and tow motor.Essential SkillsPackaging experience.Forklift operation.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Experience in steel manufacturing.Additional Skills & QualificationsSteel toe boots required.Experience working in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with hand tools.Experience in steel manufacturing environment is a plus.Overhead crane experience is a plus.Experience packaging steel is a plus.Forklift experience is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will work in a steel manufacturing environment, which can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The facility has large garage doors that open to allow semi-trucks to drive inside for loading and unloading products.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Streetsboro, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00
