**Job Title: General Laborer** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with assembling parts, using small power tools, and assisting with cleaning and organizing duties. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move small parts on wheeled carts. Candidates must be able to read a tape measure and perform basic arithmetic operations. **Responsibilities** + Assemble parts and load/offload paint line parts + Use small power tools such as drills, electric screwdrivers, and staple guns + Assist with cleaning, mopping, and organizing the workspace + Move small parts on wheeled carts + Read a tape measure using 1/16" and 1/32" increments + Perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals **Essential Skills** + Experience with small power tools + Ability to read a tape measure accurately + Basic math skills + High school diploma or GED, or 3 months of related experience and/or training + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos + Ability to write simple correspondence + Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group situations + Experience in a manufacturing environment + Good job tenure **Why Work Here?** We offer a supportive and family-like atmosphere, providing frequent touchpoints and evaluations at 30, 60, and 90 days with the potential for pay increases. It is clean and organized, with a moderate noise level and exposure to fumes or airborne particles. The facility operates on a first shift from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the potential for overtime based on the season. Our structure is assembled in sections, creating a collaborative cell-based workflow. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Altamont, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.64 - $16.64 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
