**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Laborer to join our team. This role involves performing general labor duties within a warehouse, production, or distribution environment. The ideal candidate will assist with the physical handling of products, materials, supplies, and equipment while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace. This position requires the ability to operate industrial equipment, adhere to safety protocols, and perform various tasks involving physical labor.
**Responsibilities:**
+ **General Labor Duties:** Handle products, materials, supplies, and equipment as directed.
+ **Maintain Clean Work Area:** Ensure a clean, orderly, and safe work environment in compliance with company safety and sanitation standards.
+ **Operate Equipment:** Operate industrial power equipment, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and other machinery, as required.
+ **Restock and Replenish:** Assist in restocking inventory and replenishing materials in the production or warehouse area.
+ **Perform Maintenance:** Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of equipment and facility as needed.
+ **Compliance with Safety Standards:** Ensure compliance with all regulatory, company, and safety procedures.
+ **Flexibility:** Fill in for other positions or assist in various tasks as necessary to meet production and warehouse needs.
+ **Physical Tasks:** Participate in periodic bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 50+ lbs.), and climbing as part of daily tasks.
+ **Warehouse/Production/Cooler Service Duties:** Provide assistance in general warehouse operations, production duties, and cooler service as required.
**Skills and Requirements:**
+ **Educational Requirements:** High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
+ **Experience:** 0-1 year of general work experience. Prior experience in warehouse, production, or equipment operation is preferred.
+ **Skills:**
+ Ability to operate manual and powered pallet jacks.
+ Demonstrated attention to detail and reliability.
+ Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
+ **Certifications:** Forklift certification is a plus.
+ **Physical Ability:** Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects (50+ lbs.), bending, kneeling, and climbing.
**Safety and Equipment Requirements:**
+ **Face Covering:** Face covering is required at all times while on the facility premises.
+ **Attire:**
+ Non-logo tee shirts in red, black, or gray.
+ Non-logo baseball cap (if applicable).
+ **Footwear:**
+ Proper safety footwear is required, including steel toe boots, puncture-resistant soles, and above-ankle protection.
+ Footwear must meet the following specifications:
+ ANSI Z41-compliant or equivalent protective footwear.
+ Puncture-resistant (Kevlar bottom).
+ Class 75 protective toe (steel or composite toe).
+ Slip-resistant soles that meet Mark II LS-oily/wet test at 0.35/higher.
+ Minimum height of 6 inches.
+ **Temperature Monitoring:** All workers will be subjected to temperature monitoring prior to entering the facility to ensure health and safety.
+ **Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):** Compliance with the company’s PPE program, including the proper use of safety gear as required for specific tasks.
**Work Environment:**
+ The work environment can include exposure to varying temperatures and physical demands. Workers may be required to handle heavy equipment and materials in a warehouse, production, or distribution setting.
**Additional Information:**
+ This position is subject to the safety footwear and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements for all manufacturing, warehouse, fleet, and distribution areas at Company.
+ **Note:** Steel toe boots are required for specific job tasks in production, distribution, warehouse, and sales operations. Temporary laborers are not eligible to order shoes from Lehigh; this is available only for permanent associates.
**Pay Details:** $15.00 per hour
