Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking General Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with hands-on physical labor, operate machinery, and follow all site health and safety regulations. This is a seasonal position typically running from August through May.

ResponsibilitiesAssist with hands-on physical labor and operation of machinery.Follow all site health and safety regulations.Perform heavy lifting and work in confined spaces, at tall heights, and in various weather conditions.Complete a wide variety of tasks as assigned.Cover different positions if necessary.Shovel sand, pulp, beets, etc., and transport materials using a wheelbarrow.Perform numerous cleaning activities using hot water or pressure washers.Climb stairs and ladders, work on catwalks around equipment.Bend, stoop, and twist to reach areas for cleaning or other tasks.Walk for extended periods.Work in high and low temperatures throughout the factory and various weather conditions.Operate hand or power tools.Essential SkillsGeneral labor experience.Experience in production, machine operation, packing, packaging, loading, farm work, milking, and construction.Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently or as part of a team.Repetitive lifting or carrying items up to 50 lbs.Knowledge of proper personal protective equipment and exposure to various chemicals.Attention to detail and ability to understand and complete good manufacturing practice paperwork.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust be shift flexable and open to a swing shiftSeasonal job typically running from August through May.Ability to work one of four shifts, including three 40-hour weeks and one 48-hour week per month with additional overtime as required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work hours are divided into three shifts: 1st shift (7am-3pm), 2nd shift (3pm-11pm), and 3rd shift (11pm-7am). Employees work one of four shifts with 8 hours of overtime once every 4 weeks. The work environment includes exposure to high and low temperatures, various weather conditions, and chemicals. Employees must be prepared for heavy lifting and mandatory overtime if required to cover the next shift. Uniforms and personal protective equipment are provided.
