**Job Title: General Laborer - Railcar Bathroom Production and Deconstruction** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer to work onsite, assisting in the production and deconstruction of railcar bathrooms. This role involves working as an MEP laborer to build bathrooms, perform cleaning, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical components, and assist with repairs and overhauls of passenger railcars and locomotives. **Responsibilities** + Assist in the production and deconstruction of railcar bathrooms. + Perform cleaning, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical components. + Assist with repairs and overhauls of passenger railcars and locomotives. + Operate forklifts, oil pumps, and overhead cranes (with required training). + Help maintain the work area, including general cleaning and disposal tasks. + Document and offload components and supplies, and track inventory. + Load trucks with outgoing components and parts, and perform recordkeeping. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. + Ability to read schematics. + Repair and installation skills. + Experience with hand tools. + Proficient in blueprint reading and wiring. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 2+ years of experience working outside. + 2+ years of mechanical experience. + Proficiency in working with hands. + Construction experience preferred. + Ability to lift 75 lbs. + Valid driver's license required. + High School Diploma or GED. + Familiarity with hand tools preferred. + Forklift operation experience is a plus. + Good communication and organizational skills. + Ability to work flexible schedules, with overtime potential. **Why Work Here?** Grow with the company to a foreman level, work year-round, and enjoy great benefits. **Work Environment** Work will be conducted on railcar job sites, often outside, and will involve working with crews. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Kingstown, Rhode Island. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
