Job Description:

General laborers will be responsible for working inside an electrical plant. The majority of the work will be performed during a shutdown period of approximately 3 weeks. Responsibilities include clean-up of the area, prepping areas for painting, using hand and power tools, and brush and roll painting. The job involves working within confined spaces, hot environments, and at heights. The company provides industrial coatings for manufacturing facilities, including cleanings inside tanks, pipes, exhaust systems, etc. This job will also require travel to other facilities and jobs, so the ability to travel is a must.

Essential Skills:

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Proficient with hand and power toolsPrevious experience working as a laborer in a construction environmentExperience with painting, blasting, or epoxy/resin is a plusComfortable working at heightsComfortable working in small, confined spaces

Work Environment: Expect to work overtime, especially during shutdowns, with workweeks of 60-70 hours and up to 16-hour days. The environment can be hot, with tight spaces and work high off the ground. You may need to wear a respirator, and if you have a beard, you might need to shave. The job will start at the Seminole electric facility in Palatka, and if travel to other locations is required, travel time will be paid and a company vehicle will be provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
