General Laborer
**Job Title: General Labor Technician** **Pay:** $18.00/hr. **Shift:** 1st Shift (6:00am-2:30pm) **Location:** Farmington, NY **Job Description** Laborers will be responsible for reading construction design requirements to build trusses and wood panels in a yard setting. Laborers will pick and stage lumber, cut it, and build components with hand and power tools. All instructions are illuminated and displayed on TVs throughout the shop area, so candidates will not need to hold or read physical paper blueprints. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret construction design requirements to build trusses and wood panels. + Pick and stage lumber for construction. + Cut lumber and build components using hand and power tools. + Follow illuminated instructions displayed on TVs in the shop area. **Essential Skills** + Previous construction experience working with lumber and hand/power tools. + Ability to interpret written instructions. + Ability to repeatedly lift 50lbs and be on feet for 8 hours at a time. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in general labor, carpentry, concrete, solar, and OSHA compliance. + Proficiency with tools such as drill, saw, hammer, nail gun, and tape measure. + Ability to work with blueprints and lumber. **Why Work Here?** Since opening in 2017, the company has grown from 14 to 51 employees and is continuing to expand. The first shift runs from 6:00AM to 2:30PM, Monday through Friday. The dress code requires construction attire such as work pants, sweatshirts, gloves, and steel toe/carbon toe footwear, which is weather dependent. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmington, New York. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
