**Job Title: General Laborer** **Job Description** Candidates will be responsible for stacking and keeping glass racks full of product and performing basic pultrusion machine operations. You will be working with fiberglass in three different areas to start: handling raw materials (lifting 30 - 50 lbs), machine operating (pultrusion) (lifting 20 - 40 lbs), and cutoff (lifting up to 80 lbs). **Responsibilities** + Stack and maintain glass racks with products. + Perform basic pultrusion machine operations. + Work with fiberglass in different areas, including handling raw materials, machine operating, and cutoff. + Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times. **Essential Skills** + Experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly. + General labor skills. + Proficiency with hand and power tools. + Ability to use a tape measure accurately. + Basic math skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 6-12 months of consistent work history in any given field (manufacturing experience is preferred but not necessary). + Experience as a farmhand. + Ability to read calipers is a plus. **Why Work Here?** We offer three raises in the first year, at 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year, ranging from $0.50 to $1.00 per hour. The work environment includes exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass, and resin chemicals. Employees will not handle chemicals directly. The pultrusion area has a potent smell similar to GEOTEK. Safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection are required. Jeans and long sleeve shirts are suggested due to fiberglass exposure. Plastic sleeves are available. The company provides a $40 boot voucher, which will be deducted from the first paycheck. Training will be on 1st or 2nd shift for the first few weeks. Team size includes around 40 people per shift on weekdays and 20 people per shift on weekends. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LA CROSSE, Wisconsin. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $21.00/hr.
