Ferrous Processing and Trading, a business of Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, has an immediate opportunity for a General Laborer at our Zalev Brothers operation in Windsor, Canada. The General Laborer will assist hot briquette plant operations.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Check and clean equipment and plant in a safe and responsible manner according to standardsPerform greasing of equipment according to the daily and weekly cleaning schedules and plant engineersNotify Supervisor of any problems, issues or abnormalities during the shiftOperate plant machinery, including bobcat, lift truck, chain hoists, etc in a safe and responsible manner according to the machinery instruction manual and company proceduresPosition requires “shift” work in a 24/7 operationOther duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GEDDrivers License min. class “G” requiredAble to understand work order instructions and perform work requiredAble to be standing for the entirety of work time and lift 50 pound continually throughout shiftAble to work in hot/cold, dusty/dirty environments
