**Position Summary:**
The Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at a construction site and may operate a variety of hand and power tools. Laborers will help prepare and clean up job sites and perform other duties as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
The duties and responsibilities of a laborer are all geared toward maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient construction site while also supporting the overall project. The list of duties and responsibilities for a laborer on any given day may include the following:
+ Perform various physical duties as assigned
+ Maintain all safety standards
+ Moves, secures, installs, builds, loads, or unloads materials
+ Performs some specialized tasks which may require on-the job training.
+ Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.
+ Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties.
+ Attentive to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety.
+ Maintain customer relations by acting in a professional, courteous manner.
**Qualifications:**
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. **Position Requirements and Experience:**
+ Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma is an asset
+ Ability to safely operate various vehicles and equipment
+ Previous experience, especially in construction, preferred
**Physical Demands:**
+ Regularly lift objects up to 50 lbs.
+ Ability to climb stairs and ladders, reach, squat, push and pull objects.
+ Ability to use various hand tools throughout the day.
+ Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all temperatures and weather.
