POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The responsibilities involve safety and maintenance, grain handling, customer service, and other duties as assigned by a supervisor, operations manager, or management.

 

SAFETY & MAINTENANCE

 

Observe Prairie Central Cooperative, OSHA, state, and federal Safety policies and regulations

 

Maintain equipment and facilities regularly 

 

Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards

 

 

Grain Handling

Handle incoming, binned, and outgoing grain ​Prepare and load truck and railcars in approved manner Bin grain to maintain condition and in anticipation of handling, blending & loading out shipments Gain working knowledge of all equipment and machinery

 

Maintain grain quality ​Make periodic inspections of all stored grain Make recommendations to elevator supervisor, when necessary, to improve the grain handling operation and to provide better service for customers

 

Customer Service

Greet customers promptly & courteously Assist customers with unloading & loading Actively work to increase personal skills and knowledge

 

Other Duties

The elevator will uphold cooperative policies and perform other duties as assigned. Uphold all cooperative policies Perform duties as requested by management

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

High School diploma or GED Be willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.  Frequently exposed to dust and high noise levels. Must be able to climb and work at heights, enter confined spaces, and ability to lift 50 pounds Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license Strong communication and customer service skills Must be able to work hours beyond those considered normal
