Location Description Post Consumer Brands in Cobourg, Ontario is home to more than 140 team members and produces the majority of the company's Non-GMO Project Verified and organic products. Cobourg's historic downtown is just a short trip from the plant, perfect for an after-work walk on the towns many pathways and beautiful parks. At Post, you'll not only be a part of a collaborative manufacturing team, but also the community, with the opportunity to participate in a variety of volunteer activities throughout the year. Responsibilities Overview As a General Labourer, you are expected to assist the production process by supporting line operators. You will be scheduled for 40 hours per week Monday to Friday and included into our MAD shift rotation: Midnights 11:00pm – 7:00am, Afternoons 3:00pm – 11:00pm, and Days 7:00am – 3:00pm, with the possibility for overtime, as per the Collective Agreement. Primary job responsibilities include: Performing all duties in a safe manner, reports unsafe conditions to the immediate shift supervisor Chemical application for cleaning and sanitizing, operating floor cleaning equipment, working at heights, lifting devices, waste removal, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming, Maintain a clean workstation at all times Moving skids using a hand pump jack Sack Tipping (Pouring Ingredients into mixer) Making minor ingredient mixtures Utilizing a scanner to track all mixes Making totes Performing duties requiring some heaving lifting, walking, climbing and height work Maintaining the inventory of all necessary cleaning supplies and equipment. Monitoring and maintaining recycle, garbage and food waste systems in plant. Performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or significant relevant experience Production experience is an asset but not necessary Ability to apply basic mathematical skills
