McCain Foods (Canada) is currently looking for General Labourer to join our team at the Grand Falls Fry Plant

 

DUTIES:

Responsible for ensuring safety of self and co-workers.Material handling of 19 kg boxes and bags.Responsible for following change over policy and requirements.Responsible for some sanitation dutiesTrouble shoot, adjust and maintain equipment as required.Must follow “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP’s) and Critical Control Points (CCP’s).Ensure SQCDPE targets are met by understanding and goal setting of KPI’s.Follow JHA’s and work safely. Participate in STEP program (Behavioral safety observations)Dealing with production issues, working in a fast-paced team environmentParticipate in Team meetings, as required.Complete core curriculum E-learning coursesAll additional duties as they become assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Basic computer skills would be an asset.Ability to work well with plant supervision and production employees.Team player with excellent attendance.Must have good mathematical skills and complete production forms accurately and neatly.Demonstrate continuous initiative and involvement.Highly motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude.Good verbal and written communication skills.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment adapting to and embracing change as it occurs.Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.Must possess a good safety record and demonstrate “safety first” on a continual basis.
