General Ledger Accounting Manager
Description We are in search of a General Ledger Accounting Manager to join our team in Columbus, Indiana. As a General Ledger Accounting Manager, you will be entrusted with managing and overseeing all aspects of our accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, auditing, and general ledger. Responsibilities • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable. • Leverage your skills in Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning. • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications. • Maintain and manage accurate customer credit records. • Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner. • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed. • Handle and oversee billing functions within the organization. • Conduct regular audits to ensure all financial activities are compliant and accurate. • Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date. • Utilize data mining and management skills to analyze and report financial data. Requirements • Possession of 5 or more years of experience in a similar role, preferably as a General Ledger Accounting Manager. • Proficient in the use of Accounting Software Systems for managing and organizing financial data. • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems to streamline business processes. • Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with Accounting Functions to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations. • Solid experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to maintain financial records and ensure timely payments. • Proven skills in Auditing to evaluate the organization's financial operations and ensure compliance with regulations. • Demonstrated ability to handle Billing Functions, including creating invoices and following up on payments. • Expertise in managing and maintaining the General Ledger, including recording financial transactions and preparing financial reports.
