SUMMARY:
This rotating shift multi-craft maintenance technician ensure the operating integrity of the Nephi plant to include, but not limited to troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and installing plant equipment. Candidates support the plant in achieving its safety, productivity, and quality goals and objectives by troubleshooting process problems and repairing their equipment causes. Additionally, the candidate will assist production personnel as needed to provide instruction related to safe and productive equipment operation, control process upsets, and to mitigate emergencies. Candidates work in a team-based, self-managed operation with high levels of team interaction to effectively solve problems, perform production level maintenance, and utilize electronic driven production systems.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Complies with all plant rules and safety regulations. Provides mechanical and electrical support for the entire manufacturing operation Work in a team-based, self-managed operation with high levels of team interaction to effectively solve problems, perform production level maintenance, and utilize electronic driven production systems Ensures all Individuals in the area of responsibility follow the plant safety policies. Actively participates in Pre-Task Planning assessments prior to doing any and all maintenance work in the area of Responsibilities. Identifies and controls hazards in the area. Participates in performance and equipment root cause analysis. Supports the area housekeeping efforts by ensuring all areas are clean and orderly prior to end of each workday. Executes daily interaction with the Team Coordinator for their area of responsibility to review outstanding performance opportunities. Assist in the implementation of Operator Standard Work & Maintenance Standard Work. Works from a planned work order process and work from a reactive basis. Completes records, reports, job summaries, and responsible for SAP duties. Assist in the development and completion of PM and Predictive maintenance programs for all motors and components/systems. Assist in updating all the area PM’s as needed for Frequency, content or creating new PM’s as needed. Shows a high degree of initiative in service and repair work, troubleshooting, and predictive/preventive maintenance in the area. Performs assigned duties utilizing engineering drawings, field sketches, verbal instructions, SAP, IPOP, IP21 or related documents. Possess the knowledge and ability to safely and efficiently troubleshoot issues in their area of expertise and resolve in a timely manner. Enhance maintenance processes through equipment and systems analysis to identify opportunities for equipment or process modification, equipment replacement, or application of new technology. Provide electrical, controls and automation support to automation projects, plant process, packaging and utility operations. Perform very complex rebuilds of and modify all plant systems and individual equipment. Perform complex welding and basic pipefitting as well as hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repairs. Perform complex electrical troubleshooting and repairs. Read and interpret complex electrical schematics. Perform complex control system troubleshooting and repairs, including PLCs. Read and interpret control schematics. Communicates effectively throughout the plant and ensures people have the right information to win. Performs all other duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the area Maintenance Leader.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
The employee should have the following:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required Ability to navigate SAP, identify parts, write a notification, search backlogs, search PM’s, complete activity reports, time confirmation, order completion, etc Thorough understanding of RWP – be able to describe how it works, roles and responsibilities, current barriers and recommendations for improvement, etc Meets and remains compliant with all safety and health assessment qualifications for the position, i.e. respirator qualified, ability to climb ladders, etc Able to work overtime during breakdowns situations, weekends, OCO’s, etc At least three years of prior experience in a maintenance role
