Your Opportunity: Taymark Inc., a Taylor Company, is seeking a General Maintenance Worker for our White Bear Lake, MN location. This position is responsible for keeping machines and mechanical equipment in working condition. Responsible for the keeping the structure of the building in working order. Duties may include inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining the facilities equipment, property and installed systems.

Your Shift:

1st shift; Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (some overtime may be required)

Weekend work may be required from time to time for emergencies

Your Responsibilities:

Clean, adjust, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on conveyor equipment

Perform minor electrical troubleshooting and repairs; replace light bulbs, ballasts, fuses, etc.

Perform minor plumbing system and fixture troubleshooting and repairs, open clogged lines and drains, fixture adjustment and repairs, etc.

Machinery and equipment installation, set-ups, and adjustments

Inspect building, systems, and grounds to identify any issues and ensure they are addressed

Ensure the outside maintenance vendors complete their jobs and assist when necessary (occasional snow removal, lawn mowing, tree trimming etc.)

Manage HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems to ensure functionality

Plan and schedule maintenance and repairs with outside vendors

Conduct PM’s on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard

Maintain records for equipment and supplies; Maintenance supply inventory, maintenance, and repair logs, SDS’s, etc.

Provides location set-ups for meetings, new offices, and events

You Must Have:

2 years’ experience working on mechanical equipment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision

Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment, and manage several tasks / projects at one time

Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated ability to work well with others

Some technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, plumbing and computer-controlled equipment

Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints and technical drawings

Ability to lift 50 pounds and over with assistance

Ability to stand in for an extended period, bend, crouch and conduct physical labor

We Would Also Prefer:

High School graduate or equivalent

Self-motivated, good problem-solving skills
